Best African Act: K’Naan
Best Jazz Act: Empirical
Best Gospel Act: Guvna B

BeMOBO: Merseyside Dance Initiative
Not surprisingly, on the 15th anniversary of the MOBOs, the new wave of Grime took over on yesterdays awards ceremony.
Tinie Tempah, surprisingly picked up Best Newcomer, surprising because he has been around for about 5 years previous to the Disco-overy album beating Professor green, Scorcher, Labrinth and Devlin.
Plan B picked up Best UK R&B/Soul Act, and Pro Green managed to get Best UK Hip-Hop/Grime act. The Professor must be doing something right, seeing as he managed to beat some very big names in the UK scene including Akala, Giggs, Skepta & Wiley !
